Rogue Creator Spotlight: DevonDoesTech

Q. For those who might not know you, can you share your online name and talk a bit about the type of content you create?

A. I go by DevonDoesTech online. My goal is to help gamers, streamers, and content creators have more fun gaming and doing the things they love while worrying less about their tech through tech recommendations, tutorials, and full PC builds.

Q. How long have you been a content creator?

A. Well I had over 200 videos on my YouTube channel by 2008, so you could say I've been creating for a while. Always done something whether it be art, writing, photography, or video editing. I really started focusing on YouTube and the DevonDoesTech brand in mid-2022 and haven't stopped the party yet!

Q. What do you like most about the games you play or being a content creator?

A. I love being a making videos because it's such a fulfilling hobby. It's creative in every single aspect from script writing, to camera angles and lighting, to editing the video. And at the end of that whole process, I get something out of it. I have this video that I can go back to whenever I want and see what I was like, see what I was wearing, see how I talked, see what was interesting to me in that moment. It's a mini-time capsule that I get to keep forever.

Q. What has been your biggest milestone or most memorable moment as a content creator?

A. Looking back, I've had quite a few over the last couple years. Building PCs for NFL players, building a PC for a booth at Twitchcon last year. But probably my favorite was getting the opportunity to go down to Florida to build a PC, so I ended up turning it into a full family vacation and took the family to Disney World while we were down there. Definitely a memory I won't forget.

Q. What’s something fun about yourself that you would like to share with Rogue Nation?

A.I have been helping run the KCGameOn LAN parties in Kansas City for 10 years this year. Hundreds of people from the community coming together and playing games all weekend. This fall will be our 100th event!

Q. What’s a piece of advice you would give to other creators just starting their journey?

A. Be consistent. Be consistent in how you create your content, be consistent with your schedule, be consistent with who you are making content for, be consistent with your learning and you're bound to grow online.

Q. What are your favorite Rogue products?

A. Definitely the Blue Raspberry energy mix. But I'll also be ordering a Tiger's Blood tub soon, that sounds amazing.

Q. Where can people find you online?

A. YouTube is my main platform but I'm also pretty active on Instagram and Twitter. @DevonDoesTech everywhere!
