I got a POGGERS cup which... let's be real, pog is ubiquitous in the Twitch community, and having been on the site for 15 years I very much appreciate it and its various iterations. Unfortunately the cup was the best part of the entire purchase.

I think the issue is the use of Sucralose as a sweetener. It's my least-favorite of the artificial sweeteners, and it absolutely does not pair well with artificial fruit flavors, and does horribly at contrasting the sour of flavors like sour candy. It also leaves a long-lasting aftertaste that I was experiencing hours after the initial drink.

I would say that out of seven flavors I got, I enjoyed three- and two of them were hydration drinks. My first thought when I tasted my first cup was "how do you mess up grape?!" Dragonfruit, blood orange, and fruit punch were all winners, most likely because they were meant to be more sweet than sour so there was nothing for the sweetener to drown out.

As for the value, without the added 5 samples that every order gets this would've been an awful deal. $17 shipped for five samples and a cup is just not exciting. I used a $10 coupon from a streamer, and got the 5 free samples with their current promotion, which brings it in line with what I expect to pay. It's hard to take their claim of $1/cup being a good value at face when brands like GamerSupps are 40 cents a cup and use a sweetener that doesn't stick with you forever, and Wal-Mart sells various brands of energy powder as low as 15 cents a cup.

Overall, if I was offered a heavy discount and a chance to try other flavors I might give Rogue a second chance, but I was rather disappointed in this, my first purchase.
